Light information and how we can help

PLANTAR FASCIITIS

Symptoms

Plantar fasciitis can cause pain in the heel and arch. This pain can be continuous or comes and goes. The pain tends to worsen after a period of rest, when attempting to use the foot again.

Causes

Plantar fasciitis is normally caused from an overuse in the tendon. This can be a change in activity, a change in footwear or a change in biomechanics. We can help to diagnose the cause.

Treatment Plans

We can deliver a range of treatments for plantar fasciitis that come together to eliminate the problem. I can advice how to manage the pain on a short term basis, I can treat the tendon to release tension, I can provide exercise programmes to improve flexibility and strength in the tendon. We may need to device temporary or permanent supports to prevent the problem reoccurring.
